Sommerzeit im Juli in Hochholz. Die Kinder der Verwandtschaft kommen alle aufs Land. Landverschickung nannte man das früher. Man erwartete von den Kindern, am Ende der Ferien, rote Backen und Gewichtszunahme. Hochholz boomt. Kein Schwimmbad ist gefragt, nicht einmal ein Besuch im Tierpark ist erwünscht. Alle Kinder möchten hier am Hof, in den Stall, auf die Weide, die Hühner füttert, selbst Beeren werden freiwillig gepflückt, weil Marliese, ja Marmelade davon kocht. Am Abend werden Geschichten vorgelesen, schlaftrunken werden noch Fragen gestellt, und am Bettzipfel gerüttelt, bis endlich die gewünschte Ruhe einkehrt. Die Kleinste schläft in der Besucherritze im großen Bett beim Bauern, die Bäuerin ist schon längst davon gewandert und sucht sich durch die Finsternis eine freie Matratze. Die tägliche Frage: Was gibt es zu Essen? Die Antwort der Kinder ist eindeutig: Nudeln. Heute gibt es mal Nudeln mit Soße, mit Bonlogneser Soße, na die wo Fleisch drin ist, wurde ich aufgeklärt. Also Nudelsoße Bologneser Art.
Hackfleisch, die Menge je nach Bedarf, wird angeröstet. Kleingeschnittene Zwiebel und Karotten dazu. Etwas Knoblauch, einige Speckwürfel, etwas Paprikapulver, Salz und Pfeffer, Zucker, etwas Rotwein, Basilikum, viele rote, reife Tomaten, natürlich ohne Haut. Etwas Gemüsebrühe, und einen Esslöffel süße Sahne, kann dem Gericht nicht schaden. Das Ganze wird ziemlich lange eingekocht und nochmals zum Schluss abgeschmeckt. Parmesankäse nicht vergessen!
Trotz der Hofarbeit, die wir neben der Kinderverschickung, hier leisten, sind wir als Bauern froh gelaunt, und es wird viel gelacht, über so manche Gesten und Geschichten von unseren Kindern. Momentan haben wir Rose. Sie ist 6 Jahre alt und macht uns viel Freude, nach dem ersten Tag, nach Abschiedsschmerz von den Eltern, wird sie immer fröhlicher und hoffentlich bekommt sie die gewünschten roten Backen am Ende der Ferienzeit. Welch große Erwartungshaltung der zurückgebliebenen Eltern.
