Eine Weihnachtsgeschichte aus Hochholz

Es war einmal ein Bauer der hieß Walter. Lange vor der Weihnachtszeit fuhr er mit seinen zwei schönsten Ochsen zum Schlachthof. Viele Familien wollten ihren Weihnachtsbraten, und da waren die zwei Tiere gerade recht. Ein schwarzer gutgewachsener Ochse war der Eine, ein orangeroter langhaariger Ochse war der Andere. Glücklich und zufrieden traf der Bauer mit seinen Tieren in dem besagten Schlachthof ein und er führte die Tiere in die Schlachträume. Doch die zwei Ochsen hatten es sich anders überlegt. Sie wussten genau was los war, drehten sich in die andere Richtung um, und rannten in die Freiheit. Draußen schneite es und hinaus ging es über Felder und Wiesen. Und weg waren sie, keiner sah sie mehr und das Suchen war ergebnislos. Die Nacht war hereingebrochen, die Sterne am Himmel funkelten, und der Bauer weinte über den großen Verlust, und die Gefahr dass seinen Ochsen etwas passieren konnte. Er träumte in der Nacht von den Gefahren und die tröstenden Worte seiner Frau konnten ihn auch nicht beruhigen. Gleich im Morgengrauen fuhr er wiederum an die Stelle wo er seine Tiere verloren hatte, und suchte mit Frau und Sohn im Wald und in der Flur. Nach stundenlangen Herumirren fanden wir unsere Angusochsen in einem kleinen Wäldchen, wo sich die Tiere untergestellt hatten. Aber leider hatten die Angusrinder kein Vertrauen dem Bauer gegenüber mehr und liefen erneut in die Fremde. Was sollten wir nun tun? Wir konnten sie doch nicht so alleine draußen sich selbst überlassen. Doch das Glück hatte uns nicht verlassen. Ein Bauernhof in der Nähe ließ seine Kühe auf seine Weiden. Durch das Muhen der fremden Tiere wurden unsere Angusochsen aus dem Wald gelockt und sie waren neugierig, was da los war und folgten den fremden Tieren in dem nahen Stall. Welch ein Glück, nach einer herzlichen Begrüßung wurden sie wieder auf den Anhänger geladen und nach Hause gefahren. Unsere Tiere konnten es gar nicht erwarten wieder nach Hause zu kommen und zu stehen nun zufrieden wieder bei Bruder und Schwester. Voller Dankbarkeit versprachen wir den Tieren, dass sie noch lange in Hochholz bleiben dürfen, und eine extra Portion Heu und Silo wurde gefüttert.
Das war meine Weihnachtsgeschichte aus Hochholz, und aus Dankbarkeit haben wir der schwarzen Madonna von Altötting im nächsten Jahr einen Besuch versprochen. Diesmal werde ich euch kein Rindfleischrezept schreiben, sondern ein Lebkuchenrezept von meiner Großmutter. Ein uraltes Rezept von einer Pfarrersköchin aus Bamberg. Sie war bekannt für ihre Plätzchen und besonders für ihre Lebkuchen, denn ihr Arbeitgeber der Freiherr von Pöllnitz, Domkapitular, war ein Kenner und ein Leckermäulchen. Lebkuchenrezept von der Großmutter
Zutaten:
8 große Bioeier, 1000 g Farinzucker, 1000 g gemahlene Mandeln, je 125 g Zitronat und Orangeat, 3 Eßl. Zimt, 1 geriebene Muskatnuss, von 4 Zitronen die abgerieben Schale.
Eier, Zucker sehr lange schaumig rühren, anschließend die restlichen Zutaten dazugeben, den Teig messerdick auf große Oblaten geben und über Nacht ruhen lassen. Am nächsten Tag bei ca. 150 Grad Hitze 15 Minuten trocknen lassen. Die fertigen Lebkuchen in einer Dose ca. 14 Tage aufbewahren, und dann sind sie fertig für die Leckermäulchen. Das Zitronat und das Orangeat soll ganz klein geschnitten werden, sonst meckern die Plätzchendiebe, da diese Zutaten nicht gerade beliebt sind.
